CHOONDAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS (“we”, “our”, “us”), a unit of CHOONDAL GLOBAL SERVICES based in Thrissur, Kerala, India, operates the Mechanic Pro mobile application (the “Service”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

a) Account Information

• Email address (for login and account recovery)
• Workshop owner / user name
• Workshop name and address
• Phone number

b) Customer Records (entered by you, the workshop owner)

• Customer name
• Customer phone number
• Vehicle registration number
• Service history

c) Job Card Data

• Service details, parts used, labour charges
• Bill / invoice records

d) Technical Information (anonymous)

• Device model and Android OS version
• App version
• Anonymous crash reports for debugging

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To authenticate your login
• To enable workshop management features
• To allow you to share invoices via WhatsApp
• To improve the app and fix issues

3. Data Storage & Security

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Data is stored on secure servers hosted at Bluehost
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with third parties
• Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT share your data with third parties except in these cases:

• When you explicitly choose to share an invoice via WhatsApp (this is initiated by you and uses your device’s WhatsApp app)
• When required by law, legal process, or government request

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is intended for business users (workshop owners and mechanics) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, all personal data is removed within 7 business days. Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be notified via email.
